If you love the Northumberland coast then this is the place to come. When you walk in, a sense of complete relaxation overcomes you. Taking a cup of coffee down to the harbour just steps away in the morning is an absolute delight. We are a family of two adults and four adult children and we have just enjoyed the most wonderful and unforgettable long weekend in this perfect spot. We left wanting more. Come and enjoy.

The Sea House is a new build property and offers all the modern facilities you would expect but with it's stone façade, is in keeping with the architecture of the small town. It's also deceptively spacious inside and in a great location with sea views. Julie (the host) had thought of everything that a holiday maker would want in a cottage. Superb WIFI meant that the kids could stream movies as the same time as adults and everything was spotlessly clean.

The Seahouse is a beautiful property that feels like a home from home. The host, Julie, has thought of everything that you would need during your stay. The decor, furnishings and cleanliness were the best that we’ve experienced in our time using Airbnb. The property is perfectly located with only a short walk to the harbour and town. Everything about Julie's apartment was spot on. The kitchen has everything you need and more. It is beautifully fitted out with tasteful furniture and decor. Straight forward access with the key safe. Bathroom is spacious and well maintained. Rooms are all good proportions. It's proximity to Alnwick Town could not be better and there is a parking place one minute's walk from The front door. I cannot recommend it highly enough.

Brilliant stay at The Harbour House, a real home from home making a very comfortable stay in Seahouses. House is really well equipped with all you need on a self catering holiday. Beautiful touches including local art work. Welcome pack was fab! Perfectly positioned in Seahouses, loved the views, walking distance of the local amenities. Great base to explore local area. Beach at Bamburgh is beautiful, really is a first class beach……say this is someone who lives by the sea. We hope to return again in the future.

Our stay at the Harbour House was incredible. We've been to the area many times, but staying in Seahouses rather than visiting for a day is a totally different experience. The house is in a fantastic location (we literally walked out of our door and saw dolphins just outside the harbour!) and is beautifully kept and presented. Huge rooms, comfortable beds and all the mod cons you could ask for. We're already planning a return next year!

We had a lovely stay in this accommodation. It was really clean, spacious and had everything you would need, plus a lot more. We loved the smart TV’s in each room and the en-suites in all 3 bedrooms. We had a question on arrival and Julie came back to me within a few minutes and the Housekeeper checked in with us to ensure we had everything we needed, which was excellent service. The location was right by the harbour, so only a 5minute walk into town. We would definitely recommend a stay here and are likely to stay here again on our next visit to Northumberland.

Our Story...

Northumberland Cottage Breaks is a family owned business by Julie, Aston & Jake. We truly love Northumberland and everything about this amazing part of the country. After visiting the Northumberland coast for over ten years, we moved 300 miles to make our favourite holiday destination our home! We then set up Northumberland Cottage Breaks to provide beautiful self-catering holiday cottages in Northumberland for guests to stay at, when exploring the beautiful area.

Northumberland Cottage Breaks holiday cottages are designed with heart and soul – in fact, every cottage has a heart symbol somewhere in the property! The soul comes from providing you with a welcoming, comfortable cottage, or apartment, where you will have everything you need to relax and to make the most of your time in Northumberland. Knowing like a luxury holiday should feel like, we have made sure to kit out our cottages for ultimate comfort. 

As we live locally, we can offer advice on the best places to eat, drink and be merry. We can guide you to some of Northumberland’s hidden gems that are not on every tourist map.
